Volunteer
On-campus volunteers must complete the Live Scan and fingerprinting process in accordance with District procedures. Parents/guardians and community members who already have a District badge do not need to get a new one.
We always welcome volunteers! Some volunteer roles are outlined below, but there are many additional ways (big and small) to contribute your time and talents. We invite you to fill out our volunteer interest form and we’ll reach out to you to discuss ideas or when we have urgent needs.
Many of our volunteers–including our board–are parents who are employed full-time. We are understanding of the need for work/life/volunteer balance and are committed to helping volunteers identify fulfilling opportunities to contribute in the time they have available to offer our school community.
Board
Membership
Membership
We are the day-to-day leaders of PTSA, running general assembly meetings; balancing the books; communicating with the school administration and other clubs, and supporting volunteers with events and programs. Consider joining us! We are still lacking some volunteers to fill vital roles for the executive board in 2024-2025 and are always willing to discuss succession planning and the years ahead.
Campus
Safety
Safety
Help support our administrators and campus safety officers. Adult volunteers can build relationships, create a safe and inclusive environment, and support the ECHS staff. Your presence provides students with additional trusted adults on campus who can support them in making good choices. You must have a WCCUSD volunteer badge for this on-campus opportunity. Before your shift, please review this training information video, then check in at the ECHS Front Office upon arrival.
Teacher and Staff Hospitality
Meet and support the ECHS teacher/staff community by providing delicious food and drinks for regular staff meetings and special teacher and staff appreciation events. There are opportunities every month with a variety of different ways the community can contribute.
Sign Up to volunteer or contribute for the teacher/staff lunches.
Prom Closet
Manage and distribute an inventory of formal wear that is made available to students attending ECHS Prom. Work with student committees and parent volunteers to make prom more accessible and promote a circular economy of reuse and sharing.
Consent Education
The PTSA has been partnering with the ECHS Student Sexual Assault Awareness Committee and the Adminstration to sponsored and support Consent Assemblies for all grades.
Student Leader Liaison
An unfilled role in 2024-2025, the PTSA normally collaborates closely with the ECHS Leadership teacher and the many active ECHS student organizations. This role offers opportunities to provide mentorship to our school's student leaders and to help grow the reach and impact of these important clubs and student groups.
Parent Grad
Committee
Committee
New! We have heard interest in a more active parent role in graduation activities. This leader could celebrate the achievements of our graduating seniors and smooth the transition to life after high school.
Other Boards
We are close partners with other community organizations that support ECHS. Feel free to reach out to us for introductions or additional background information about any of the following organizations. Reach out to learn more about:
