Association Meetings

Association Meeting: January 27, 2025 at 6:30pm/Talk begins 7:30 pm

Drug Enforcement Administration lab testing reveals that 5 out of every 10 pills with fentanyl contain a potentially lethal dose. Fake pills which often contain fentanyl are being used by drug traffickers to exploit the opioid crisis and prescription drug misuse. The organization Song for Charlie was founded after Ed and Mary Ternan lost their son Charlie to one of these "fentapills." Their goal: to bring awareness to counterfeit prescription pills being sold online targeting young people. On Monday evening at the ECHS PTSA meeting, Laura Didier of Song for Charlie will speak about the work this national nonprofit organization does to encourage young people to choose healthy coping strategies over self-medication.
